Tomatoes

        Carol is a sweet and smart lady.  She has a husband and four children.  She is a hard working and responsible wife.

        One day, her husband told her that he would take her with him to his reunion.  She was very excited about that.  On the weekend, Carol went to the store and tried to buy some good outfit for her husband's reunion, but at that day she couldn't find one she really liked.  At night, she told her husband that she couldn't find a good outfit for herself and she would go to the store the next day again.  Her husband told her not to buy it at this time.  He said that he couldn't go to his reunion because he had a business trip.  Carol was so disappointed about that.  Well what could Carol do?  Fortunately, she is an easygoing person.  After a while she forgot about the reunion event.

      One night, she got a letter from her husband's friend. The letter said, "I am sorry to hear that......"  Carol was puzzled. She wondered what she said. Why did she feel sorry for her. So, Carol called her. The lady told Carol that her husband had taken a lady to his reunion.  Everybody thought that Carol and her husband had divorced.  That was why she sent  letter to Carol.

      After hearing that Carol felt restless and uneasy.  The bad news destroyed her completely.  She sat at home, silent for a long time and she started crying.  Nothing audible, but tears pouring down her face.  However, Carol is a smart lady.  She told herself," More haste, less speed.  I need to do something about it."  She hired a detective.  The guy found her husband's girlfriend's home.  Carol thought, "Hi, this time I want to see where on earth you have gone."

      One day, her husband told her that he would go on a business trip that day after tomorrow.  Carol said, "Sweetheart, have a nice trip."  The next morning, Carol followed the address the detective gave to her.  She found the house and she knocked on the door.  There was no answer.  She knocked again.  There was still no answer.  She circled around the house then she went to the back of the house.  She saw lots of tomatoes in the back of the house.  She threw every single tomato into the house.  Finally her husband came out.  When she saw her husband she was too tired to panic, too upset to speak.  Inwardly, she hoped she had some blunt instrument with which to hit him.  He said to Carol, "Carol, this is harassment."  Carol waved both of her hands and said to him, " It's over, you are not my husband anymore."  She felt the sight was sickening and turned away.
